The Bound Collective returns this May with the exciting new exhibition Embroidered Realities for London Craft Week, once again casting a spotlight on the dynamic art of embroidery. Featuring both returning and new exhibiting members, the show explores the compelling tension between traditional needlework and contemporary textile art. Whilst one is rooted in precision and mastery, the other embraces artistic freedom, storytelling, and abstraction.

The exhibition showcases works which challenge embroidery’s historical role, reclaiming it as a powerful tool for self-expression; where thread becomes a means of storytelling, and altered perceptions. Each artist reveals a unique sensitivity to their materials, uncovering subtle narratives woven into the very fabric of their work. Through these textured visions, viewers are invited on a journey through alternate realities, challenging how we perceive both the world around us and the materials we so often overlook.

An invitation-only private view event will be held on the evening of Thursday 15th of May 2025.
