Christiana Spens works across drawing, painting and printmaking, having illustrated books published by the New York Review of Books, and Granta, as well as her own books and other publications. Her works catch glimpses of everyday life in an intimate, poetic and reflective way.

‘Low Profile’ will feature a selection of Spens’ latest work on paper and open up to the spectator a world where the mundane becomes poetic and tranquil. Showing individuals in moments of introspection and withdrawal, often in states of longing or nostalgia, these new works focus on the ways in which we quietly escape the world and people around us, into the relative peacefulness of domestic spaces and our own private contemplation.
